On April 12th2014 the Dnipropetrovsk regional organization of “Ukrainian Kyokushinkaikan Karate Federation” (IKO Matsushima) took part in yearly tournament for children and youth (6-17 years old) “Branch’s Kyokushin Budokai Cup (Koroliov R.V., 3rddan)”. The competition was held in Dnipropetrovsk welding and electonics technical school named after E.O.Paton. There were fighters from Dnipropetrovsk city and region, and also from towns Nikopol, Dniprodzerzhynsk and Novomoscowsk.
Our regional branch has listed 15 young fighters in the application for the tournament. 10 of them were trained in the club of Goncharenko Yaroslav (1stdan) and Korkach Anton (1st dan), and the other 5 represented the club “Kaskad” (trainer Golovin Dmytro, 2nd dan).
Our young fighters has shown good results. The following sportsmen won in all fights and got 1stplace in their weight categories: Karavets Roman, Orudzhev Illya (Goncharenko, Korkach), Golovin Nazar, Sokol Oleksiy (Golovin). 2ndplace was won by Sohach Viktor, Prudnikov Mykyta, Agarkov Vladyslav, Zubkov Danylo (Goncharenko, Korkach), Doilinnyy Oleksandr (Golovon). The 3rdplace was won by Hasanov Aziz and Asatrian Egish (Goncharenko, Korkach).
