Dnipropetrovsk regional branch of Ukrainian Kyokushinkaikan Karate Federation took part in Open championship of Dnipropetrovsk region (WKO version). The competition was held in town Kryviy Rig on April 2nd, 2016. Our team consisted of Dnipropetrovsk branch director V.D.Golovin and the following fighters: Oleksandr Dollinniy, Mykyta Boyko, Vladyslav Novikov, Nazar Golovin, Danylo Kyryahno.
The competition hosted more than 250 fighters from towns of Ukraine, representing IKO1 (Matsui), WKO (Midori) and IKO Matsushima karate federations. Geographical representation of different regions was very wide: Kyiv, Kirovograd, Zaporizzhya, Dnipropetrovsk and Kryviy Rig.
Although the tournament had official status, its organization level and judgment have left much to be desired. But our fighters showed strong combative spirit and gained good results in spite of all the difficulties. Oleksandr Dollinniy and Nazar Golovin won 2nd and 3rd place correspondingly in their age/weight categories. One can mention, that organizers put Nazar Golovin (38 kg) in the group to much heaviers boys (45 kg).
We wish our young fighters further achievements on their Kyoukushin Karate way. OSU!
