Zhytomyr regional organization of Kyokushin-kan Shogakukai Karate Federation organized an open tournament “Polissya Cup”. The competition was held in town Novograd-Volynskiy on December 21st2014.Volyn regional branch of Ukrainian Kyokushinkaikan Karate Federation (Branch-chief Volynets Dmytro) delegated to the tournament its team, consisting of 7 sportsmen from Lutsk and Kovel, judge Gorishniy Vasyl and Shevchuk Vitaliy (2nd dan) as a special representative.
In spite of the end of the year many sportsmen managed to visit Novograd-Volynskiy, and the tournament was full of interesting fights. After it was over our team returned home with 5 medals:
Everyone appreciated work of judges – it was fine and well coordinated. All decisions were competent, clear and fair, so nobody complained about it. Other organizational matters were prepared on the highest level, too, so we are very thankful for that to the organizing committee.
Analysis of the tournament’s results shows that all the fighters were in good physical conditions and well-trained. Accordingly we may conclude that out sportsmen proved their professional growth, and some of them managed to get beyond their own abilities.
Overall results and impressions satisfy our trainers and fighters. We are grateful to the organizing committee for inviting our team and wish to all the fighters to show even better results next year!
