Ukrainian championship among children and juniors was held in Lutsk on November 7th, 2020. About 260 sportsmen from 11 regions of Ukraine came to Volyn this year. As usually, it was organized by the separate branch of Ukrainian Kyokushinkaikan Karate Federation in Volyn region.
Pandemic restrictions due to COVID-19 in Ukraine influenced the event’s performance. With respect to overall sanitary restrictions each age category competed separately, there was neither opening ceremony, nor lining-up of all sportsmen or group photo of the winners.
The championship was performed in two disciplines: kumite and kata. Sportsmen competed in 26 categories.
It should be mentioned that this year sportsmen had demonstrated very high level, and it influenced on the level of the championship itself and made fights especially spectacular in particular.
