Ukrainian Open Kyokushinkaikan karate championship among men and women and All-Ukrainian tournament among juniors were held in Dnipro on November 12th, 2016. More than 100 best sportsmen from all the regions of Ukraine took part in the competition. The competition was organized by Ukrainian Kyokushinkaikan karate federation – Shihan Dmytro Volynets, and Dnipropetrovsk regional organization of the federation. Main organizational duties were performed successfully by sensei Dmytro Golovin and sempai Yaroslav Goncharenko.
The competition was held at KH “Time Out”. Sportsmen fought in 17 categories. Among main tasks of the championship, according to the call of the organizers expressed by Dmytro Volynets, was involving children from streets to sport activities that can mould them into physically and morally strong persons. It was also mentioned, that such competitions can unite Kyokushin, and it was very pleasant that Dnipro hosted sportsmen representing different organizations, as well as different regions of the country.
Among grand activities of the competition was granting black belt to Yaroslav Goncharenko, as he passed the test for the 2nd dan this summer.
The fights were characterized with extreme strain and high tempo, as all the fighters strived to bring home the highest prize. And all the fighters really showed all the best at the tatami: training level, stamina, techniques and will to win.
