Ukrainian Kyokushin Budo Karate Federation together with All-Ukrainian public organization “Ukrainian Kyokushin Karate Union” held Ukrainian Cup 2008. The competition was held on September 27th 2008 in Poltava. 169 sportsmen from 15 regions and Kyiv city participated in the tournament. It is hard to find another competition like this one in the last 10 years. This tournament gathered fighters from 4 Kyokushin Karate branches (ІКО Мatsushimа, ІКО Matsui, WKO Midori, IFK). We hope that such competitions will be held in Ukraine again, and Ukrainian fighters will gain at such competitions the experience necessary to win prizes at international tournaments.
