Mykolayiv XV Open Kyokushinkarate Tournament and Championship in kumite among children, juveniles and juniors was held on February 08th 2009. The competition was dedicated to anniversary of Soviet Army withdrawal from Afganistan. 120 sportsmen from 10 Ukrainian towns participated in the competitions. They represented Simferopol, Lutsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Ochakiv, Kahovka, Kyrylivka, Nikopol, Kirovograd and Mykolayiv.
