All-Ukrainian Kyokushin Karate summer camp was held from June 28th to July 05th2009 at the recreation camp on the lake Pisochne. 70 sportsmen from Dnipropetrovsk, Nikopol, Kyiv and Lutsk participated in the camp. Sportsmen had 4 trainings during 5 days. They got up at 05:30 in the morning. After that they ran cross-country race in the forest, had kihon, kata with detailed instructions, and trainings with weapons (tonfa, nunchaku, bo, knives). During third training sportsmen mastered their kumite skills. There was also one night training and water-trainings. Each participant had a possibility to check his skills level and pass ku-test or dan-test.
Besides trainings there were other activities. Sportsmen could swim in the clear waters of the lake, go to the forest, gather forest-berries or have a rest. At the end of the camp there was a soccer game between Volyn and Dnipropetrovsk teams. After that sportsmen built a 2 meter high fire and had a farewell dinner (sayonara).
Two sportsmen passed black-belt test during the camp. Bilotskiy Artem successfully passed test for 1 dan, and Golovin Dmytro passed test for 2 dan. Ukrainian Kyokushin Budo Karate Federation congratulates both sportsmen with black belts.
