5th European Kyuokushinkai karate summer training camp was held in Italy not far from town Spekkia. The event took place from July 23rd till July 27th. Camp site was organized at the territory of former tobacco factory Borgo Cardigliano, which was reconstructed to organize a hotel with the same name. The camp was really international – there were sportsmen from Italy, Denmark, Spain, Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia, Greece, Sweden, Canada and Ukraine. Ukrainian Federation was represented by Volynets Dmytro, Pryhodko Maria and Tereshkevych Vitaliy.
Training program was eventful and hard, as all the participants were divided in groups according to the level of sportsmen: 3rd and 4th dan (group 1), 1st and 2nd dan (group 2), 1-4 ku (group 3), 5-9 ku (group 4). One day there was complete sea program – first trainings in the sea, then rest on the beach. Dan test was held on the last day of the training. Instructors of the camp had very high levels: Shihan Roman Shiryaev (7th dan, Canada), Shihan Gabriel Barlunga (6th dan, Spain), Shihan Klaus Rex (6th dan, Denmark), Shihan Jozef Borza (6th dan, Hungary)) Shihan Sergiy Lukyanchikov (5th dan, Ukraine), Shihan Samuel Kasto (5th dan, Italy) and others
