Dnipro Championship

September 26, 2019

Two karate competitions were held at new comfortable sports complex “Slobozhanske” (in Dnipro neighboring town Slobozhanske) on September 21st, 2019: Ukrainian IKO Matsushima kyokushinkaikan karate championship in kumite and kata (adults, juniors), and also Open All-Ukrainian tournament in kumite among juniors (14-15 y.o.).

Overall management and organization was performed by Ukrainian Kyokushinkaikan Karate Federation, headed by shihan Volynets Dmytro (Lutsk). Tatami referees were shihan Zvizdun Ivan (Novomoskovsk), sensei Shumik Vadym (Lutsk) and sensei Bachurin Oleksandr (Lviv).

The competition hosted 100 best sportsmen from Dnipro, Kherson, Kyiv, Lutsk, Mukachevo, Brovary, Poltava, Lviv, Novomoskovsk, Kamianske, Kovel and Kryviy Rig.

Both in kumite and in kata there was tough competition among representatives of different international federations: IKO Matsushima, КАN, WKB, IFK, WKO and Budo. But judging was objective, and no complaints were even voiced.

Members of Ukrainian Kyokushinkaikan Karate Federation’s separate branch in Dnipro region (head sensei Golovin Dmytro) did all they could in organizing the competitions.  Thanks to their efforts everything passed according to schedule without any delays.

We invite all Ukrainian karatekas from all the organizations to participate in Ukrainian championship and All-Ukrainian tournament next year.

OSU!
