Two karate competitions were held time at the sports complex “Slobozhanskiy” (urban type village Slobozhanske, Dnipropetrovsk region) on February 23rd, 2019:
– Open Dnipropetrovsk region IKO Matsushima kyokushinkaikan karate cup
– Interclub Tournament among beginners “White Tiger”
360 young fighters (5-13 y.o.) from 17 clubs participated in the competitions. They represented Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kirovograd, Zaporizhia and Kyiv regions, and cities Dnipro, Zaporizhia, Kropyvnytskiy, Brovary, Pokrovsk, Novomoskovsk, Kryvyy Rig, Vilnogirsk, Melitopol, Energodar, Pryshyb and Slobozhanske.
In most weight categories there were 8-16 fighters, so one had to win 3or even 4 fights to get victory.
Level of training was high and fights demonstrated equal and tense struggle. In spite of judgment mistakes competition atmosphere was friendly.
