Zakarpattya region IKO Matsushima kyokushinkaikan karate championship was held in picturesque Ukrainian town Mukachevo on April 14th, 2018. The competition hosted 182 sportsmen from different regions of Ukraine.
There were two categories: one for beginners and the second one for experienced fighters. Thanks to this fact many young sportsmen had an opportunity to participate in the competition and showed their potential in sparring fights. First steps are always difficult, so our beginners had to pass serious emotional test. Of course, experienced fighters also had to show their best. Everybody was eager to win, so all the fights were fierce.
Describing organization matters one should note that there were two tatamis and judge teams changed every 30 minutes. Therefore judges could keep their attention focused and made adequate decisions. All the prize-winners were granted corresponding championship awards. There also were special prizes: “The best technique” and “Will for victory”. And the most pleasant prize of the championship was a yellow scooter. It was granted to the best fighter of the competition – Kuchinka Petro (8-9 y.o.)
We are grateful to all the judges and other people for helping in organization of Zakartappia region championship in town Mukachevo. We are grateful to our competitor teams for fair competition. We are grateful to parents for permission and support in going in for karate. This kind of sports is cruel and noble at the same time. And we are also grateful to Shihan Dmytro Volynets for development and popularizing of IKO Matsushima kyokushinkaikan karate in Ukraine.
