Summer IKO Matsushima kyokushinkaikan karate training camp was held at the lake Svityaz from on 2-9 of July, 2017. The camp was guided by Shihan Volynets Dmytro Leonidovych.
110 sportsmen from different regions participated in the camp this year:
Volyn – instructors Volynets Dmytro (5th dan), Shumyk Vadym (3rd dan), Shevchuk Vasyl (2nd dan), Pryhodko Maria (2nd dan), Bidzura Olga (1st dan);
Dnipropetrovsk – instructors Golovin Dmytro (3rd dan), Goncharenko Yaroslav (2nd dan);
Kyiv – instructor Gavryliuk Andriy (3rd dan);
Zakarpattia – instructor Mat’kovski Sergiy (1st dan).
The camp was organized at quite a high level. There were 4 trainings a day with kumite, kata, static, physical training, self-defense actions and other activities. Everyday morning cross was performed on the lake’s shore. The camp had an intention to master skills of sportsmen and trainers.
Ku- and dan-test were permormed on July, 7th. All the sportsmen considered it was the most difficult part of the camp. Each fighter who has passed the test had to show all the best in skills, fortitude, willpower and tenacity of the real warrior.

Mat’kovski Sergiy (town Mukachevo) – 2nd dan
Shevchuk Vasyl (town Lutsk) – 3rd dan.
Rest day at the end of the camp was dedicated to different activities: amateur talent competition, barbeque and shish kebab, bath and sport games. Certificates and statuettes were awarded to Ancibora Valentine, who has demonstrated kyokushin spirit, and Volynets Vladyslava – the youngest participant of the camp. Award in amateur talent competition was granted to Lavrenchuk Oleksandr.
