Melitopol Open Championship among Children and Juniors

Melitopol open kyokushinkaikan karate championship among children and juniors was held at the site of Melitopol sports school N1 at 22-23 April, 2016.

About 200 sportsmen from Energodar, Dneprodzerzhinsk, Volnogorsk (Dnepropetrovskregion), town  Melitopol and Melitopol region competed in the tournament.

The most spectacular fights were performed by the sportsmen from Melitopol: prize-winner of European Championship Ruzieva Alina, 2016 Ukraine champion Klukina Tatiana, bronze-winner of 2016 Ukraine championship Bazyk Christine, and among young male fighters – repeated winners of all-Ukrainian tournaments Kolomoyets Mychael and Zelinskiy Vadim.

The tournament had several goals: to develop kyokushinkaikan karate and make this sport more popular among Melitopol inhabitants; to make the training level of sportsmen better; to choose the best fighters for Ukrainian Championship; to master qualification level of judges.

Overall control was performed by sports and youth committee of Melitopol town council and Kyokushinkan shogakukai karate federation. And the main panel of judges was imposed the direct responsibility for competition organization. Main judge of the tournament was honored trainer of Ukraine, official representative of International kyokushinkaikan karate federation, international referee, Branch-Chief of Ukraine Zvizdun Ivan (shihan, 5th dan). Main secretary of the tournament was President of Melitopol Kyokushinkan shogakukai karate federation, trainer of the highest category, master of sports of Ukraine Zhorniak A.N. (sensei 3rd dan).

The competition was organized in accordance with Ukrainian Kyokushinkaikan karate rules and in accordance with Melitopol city schedule of physical culture events.

 

Prize-winners (1-2-3 place) in different weight categories were awarded diplomas, medals and commemorative prizes.
