Ukrainian Open Cup among Children and Juveniles

Ukraine Open cup among children and juniors was held in town Brovary on December 13th, 2015. The competition was organized by Kyiv regional organization (chief – sensei Gavrylyuk Andriy, 3rd dan) of Ukrainian Kyokushinkaikan Karate Federation. 243 sportsmen from 17 teams, representing 7 regions of Ukraine, took part in the cup. Main judge of the competition was Shihan Dmytro Volynets (5th dan, Lutsk).

Karate fighters competed in 28 categories. All the clubs delegated their best fighters, and everyone strived for victory, so each fight was quite a show. The fights were judged by 3 referee teams, tatami referees were Shihan Ivan Zvizdun (5th dan, Dniprodzerzhynsk), sensei Dmytro Golovin (3rd dan, Dnipropetrovsk), and sempai Vasyl Shevchuk (2nd dan, Lutsk).

Champions and prize-winners were awarded with cups, medals and certificates. Also they have chosen 8 best fighters of the cup, and the organizers awarded these sportsmen with special prizes.
Club “Budokan” (town Brovary) has won first place in team ranking (9 gold, 9 silver and 8 bronze medals).
