Training Camp in Hungary

August 10, 2015

Shihan Jozef Borza gathered Hungarian karate fighters in town Miskolc on August 3rd-8th. Representatives of our federation took part in this event for another time: Shihan Dmytro Volynets (5th dan), Sensei Andrii Gavryliuk (3rddan) and Sempai Vasyl Shevchuk (2nd dan). The camp was traditionally organized at the site of MiskolcPoliceAcademy. In total the camp visited about 120 karate fighters.

There were three trainings everyday. First training included morning running, energy exercises and kihon. Second training was for kata exercises and bunkai analysis. And the third training was traditionally devoted to kumite. There was a separate training group of karate fighters, who perform kumite on tatami. Trainings for these fighters were more rough and difficult. And our representatives trained in this very group.

As usual, Borza’s training camp had strict discipline and was full of serious exercises. In the end there was an attestation and kyu and dan tests.

Last day of the camp provided some free time for rest. Our fighters used this possibility to restore strength in thermal springs “Miskolc-Tapolce”.

Analyzing the camp’s activities we can say that participation in such events brings a lot of experience and it is a very good start for the new training year.
