Ukrainian Kyokushinkaikan Karate Federation has held two tournaments in town Brovary on May 23rd, 2015: Ukrainian championship among men and women and All-Ukrainian championship among youth and juniors. About 100 sportsmen from 8 regions of Ukraine took part in the competition. There was only one tatami with two teams of judges and three referees, namely Shihan Ivan Zvizdun, Sensei Evgeniy Zapara and Sensei Dmytro Golovin.

There were 5 categories for adults and 12 categories for juniors. Fights couldn’t go without some injuries, but all of them were very spectacular. All fighters have shown high trainings and performance level. In this regard Sensei Andriy Gavrylyuk has remarked: “Everyone, who is stepping on the tatami, is already a winner. Quite a few men are brave enough for fight, where they have to endure hits of their opponents and show their own techniques”. Andriy Gavrylyuk is head of Kyiv regional organization of our Federation and one of the direct organizers of the tournament.

All the winners were rewarded with medals, cups and certificates. Organizers have also rewarded one fighter for the best techniques and two sportsmen for the will to win. Shihan Ivan Zvizdun has also received a reward for best judging.

We are grateful to all the participants of the championship. Once again, we congratulate the winners and wish them further achievements and victories!
