Ukrainian Kyokushinkaikan Karate championship among juniors and juveniles was held in Lutsk on March 21st, 2015. It’s the 10th tournament, organized by Ukrainian Kyokushinkaikan Karate Federation since 2006, so this competition has already become traditional.
Lutsk welcomed 18 clubs from 10 regions of Ukraine. Almost 240 best fighters competed in 25 categories to get prestigious title “Ukraine Champion”. Main judge of the competition was head of board of Ukrainian Kyokushinkaikan Karate Federation, branch chief Shihan Dmytro Volynets (5th dan). Inauguration ceremony was honored by deputy head of Youth and sports committee of Volyn state administration Igor Danylyshin.
The championship was traditionally held at sports and entertainment complex “AdrenalineCity”. Sportsmen fought on two tatamis, catered by 3 teams of judges. Referees on tatami were Shihan Ivan Zvizdun (5th dan, Dniprodzerzhinsk), Sensei Dmytro Golovin (3rd dan, Dnipropetrovsk), Sempai Vadim Shumik (2nddan, Lutsk) and Sempai Viktor B alenko (2nd dan, Kyiv).
Every year trainers come to Lutskwith more and more qualified and trained fighters. Thanks to that the fights are very spectacular and tough, and it was really hard to get to the final. Some of the fighters were almost exhausted, as they had 5 fights. Although there were so many fighters, the championship was performed quickly, and overall atmosphere was very friendly. Thanks to that all the trainers and children were pleased at the end of the day. “Best referee” award was given to Sensei Dmytro Golovin.
At the end of the championship Shihan Dmytro Volynets summed up its results: “Each fighter has got unique experience here inLutsk, and this award sometimes is worth even more, than a cup or a medal. Let this experience give you impetus to new achievements on tatami!”
