Open Hungarian Kyokushinkaikan Karate tournament “10th Zemplen Cup” was held in town Sátoraljaiújhelyi on February 14th 2015. Team of our Federation consisted of Olga Bidzura and Vasyl Shevchuk, accompanied by the head of the Federation Shihan Dmytro Volynets.
Altogether more than 300 sportsmen participated in the tournament, representing Hungary, Croatia,Serbia, Austria, Slovakiaand Ukraine. Sportsmen competed in kunite and kata. Almost all the branches of Kyokushin have sent their representatives to the tournament, so these were the fights between the best of the best sportsmen.
Organizational level of the tournament was very high. All the branch-chiefs of Hungarywere present, in particular shihan József Borza and Furko Kalman. Sátoraljaiújhelyi town mayor also visited the tournament, as this town welcomes this tournament for the 10th time.
Ukrainian sportsmen have shown good physical condition and fighting techniques, but failed to get any prizes. Nevertheless, we are very grateful to the organizers and wish our fighters further achievements!
