International Kyokushinkaikan Karate tournament “9th Zemplen Cup” was held in Hungary on February 1st 2014. The contest was held in town Sátoraljaújhely bordering with Slovakia.
More than 300 sportsmen took part in the tournament, representing Poland, Croatia, Turkey, Ukraine and different regions of Hungry. Sportsmen competed in kunite and kata in different weight and age categories, starting from 10 years old. The fights were performed on four tatami.
Ukrainian team was represented by three fighters from Volyn regional branch of Ukraianian Kyokushinkaikan Karate Federation: Olga Leshchuk (1st place in kumite), Maria Pryhodko and Vasyl Shevchuk (2 place in kata). The team was guided by experienced trainer Dmytro Volynets. We express sincere greetings and wishes of further victories to our sportsmen.
