Newly Independent States Kyokushinkai Karate Open Cup was held in Alma-Ata, Kazakhstan, on February 24th, 2013. 270 participants from different NIS countries took place in the competition. Ukraine was represented by Kondratenko Egor, a fighter from Donetsk branch of Ukrainian Kyoukusinkai Karate Federation. After 4 fights, 2 of which Egor won ahead of time, our sportsman won 1st place in the 10-11 years old group, weight category – over 40 kg.
It should be noted, that the competition level was very high, and hosting party has shown great affability and friendliness. All the winners were granted notebooks in addition to medals and diplomas.
