Ukrainian Kyokushin Karate Championship in kumite among children, juveniles and juniors was held on March 28th 2009 in Lutsk. 242 sportsmen from different regions of Ukraine and from Belarus Republic participated in the competition. They represented Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Lviv, Mykolayiv, Odesa, Poltava, Rivne, Kherson, Khmelnytskiy, Volyn regions and cities Kyiv and Sevastopol.
According to results of the championship the positions among the regions were distributed as follows:
1stplace – Kherson region
2ndplace – Kyiv region
3rdplace – Poltava region
